Today the world super powers is suffering from the situation of bewilderment and their sight is focused on one nation i.e. Pakhtun nation .It is that Pakhtun nation which trounced Great Britain in their land and then compel Soviet Union which appeared as the communist block in the world to leave their territory .Now this nation is again combating not only with the super power of the world i.e. US but with all those who are supporting US in their nefarious design. It is a fact that they are not doing well but there is some reason that compels them on doing so. Otherwise Pakhtun nation is a great nation which can’t be compared with any other nation. The image of Pakhtuns is badly damaged their image reflect wrong perception about them because Pakhtuns are people equipped with many good traits, characteristics and intrinsic worth some of these are
1-HONOURABLE (GHAIRATY)
Modesty is one of the basic characteristic of Pakhtuns .They consider it as necessary for them as their life they can also give their life for it. It is a fact because the history of Pakhtuns is full of such sacrifices. They feel very pride for their this trait .In any war or bad situation they will stand with their companions like a rock and never give up they will prefer to die themselves instead of their ally.
2-HOSPITABLE:
Pakhtuns are very hospitable, affectionate and caring people .They take care of any person who came in their asylum even if it is eloped couple, fugitive, a person leave his village because of the cruelty of village head, his enemy and any one else. In this regard they will accept no ransom from the other party they consider their protection as their obligation and it is against their norm to handed over him to the demanders. They will be concerned about him as much their life let him. They afford all his expenses till he/she is in their guardianship.
3-INNOCENT:
Pakhtuns are very innocent, diffident and humble people .they can be pleased by a very small craze and also can be worried by a very minute thing .They can be easily made emotionally black mail because they don’t use their mind they do all thing by their will. They are unaware from the glamor, new trends and shrewdness .They can be easily made fool by showing them their interests that’s the reason that they are in majority in Afghanistan but still Tajik are much advance and progressive from them.
4-CONSERVATIVE:
Pukhtuns are very conservative by nature they will never leave their customs, traditions and conventions .They still follow those customs and traditions which are centuries old and feel proud for it .they wear their national dress and follow the same way of living as their ancestors leave for them .Although they are in Europe or US they pursue their own civilization .Violation to their customs and tradition is considered very disgraceful and very rare cases of such violation can be seen in Pukhtuns. This trait of pukhtuns clearly shows their constancy and loyalty and also indicates the permanent temperament of them.
5-INTELLIGENT:
Pukhtuns are very intelligent people by nature but unfortunately their intelligence is not used for good causes it is always used for bloodshed .It is not their fault because they are deliberately keep in such situation and their mental power is used only for hostilities .If positive advantages are taken from their intelligence they will prove one of the high qualified nation of the world.
6-INVINCIBLE PEOPLE:
Pukhtuns will never accept the life of subjugation and it is evident from the history of Pukhtuns that they were never subdued by big powers. They will shed the last drop of their blood but not accept the supremacy of others. They believe in equal status of human being. They will prefer death instead of subjugation.Thats why Pukhtuns are still in war like situation that they not accept anyone primacy except ALLAH the great.
7-MORAL PEOPLE:
Pukhtuns are much moral people they deem morality as one of the essential part of life .They will never indulge themselves in immoral activities because it is against their norms and rules. It is much shameful to them to be immoral they keep their morality at any cost. Because immoral person has no value in their society and is considered as depraved person.
8-NEVER BACKING THEIR PROMISES:
Once they made promise with some one they called it (ZABA WORKAWL) they will never back from their promises because they consider it as the matter of their faith .They will fulfill their promises at any cost and even how much they suffer for it.
9-RELIGIOUS PEOPLE:
Pukhtuns very strictly follow the teachings of Islam .They are orthodox Muslims and will tolerate no blasphemy to the religion of Islam. They fulfill all the obligation of Islam with the best of their heart and in this regard they also afford many expenses without any hesitation .They protects religion Islam without any fright and fear.
10-BRAVE PEOPLE:
It is evident that Pakhtuns are valiant, brave and bold people and they are much famous for their bravery. They can live any where whether it is mountain or rock and afraid from none. Pakhtuns will give their life but not accept the life of timid ness. Bravery and boldness is inherent feature of Pakhtuns.
There are many high-qualities of Pukhtuns for which words are not enough to mention them because they are numerous .If the world become aware from the real and true image of Pukhtuns then they will give much respect to them and will adopt a very superior image in the world.
